I went for the WCG ( World Cyber Games) 2008 finale today, just to suport a friend and colleague of mine. It was my first time witnessing the games in action, and i swear it was so damn cool. I stepped in to the Suntec convention hall and wow, there were booths set up for us to play xbox and everything, games going on. My dear came over my hse in the morning so we could go to suntec tgt to support KC today. HAHA. As i was saying, as we stepped in to the convention hall, we passed by (national finale) players who were competing in CS. It brought back so much memories for me man! I became hooked to CS over at singtel when the guys starting playing cs everyday, cos internet was BANNED! omg the guys became bored to death without internet so we started playing cs daily, for months. We became crazy, playing it during lunchtime, during worktime, even anytime whenever we were free. haha. At first i didn't like the game cos i didn't know how to control the buttons. Soon, i got used to it and started playing with the guys. I became known for throwing smoke bombs. hahahah, it's a CS term. Anw, when i saw the players playing cs and shouting all around ( they have to shout to announce they are killed by the enemy/or shout to say the enemy's location), i was like enamoured with envy cos i wished i was the one there playing with my colleagues. Yeah, anw, KC, my friend was the reigning champion for the WCG Asian Championship last year too! hahah. Don't play play sia. For this year's WCG, he alry beat everyone in the semi-finals to get to the finals and he had to beat his opponent to win the chance to go Germany to represent singapore. OMG so damn cool lahhhhh. He's playing this game called Age of Empire, and yeah, it looks quite confusing to me cos they were like playing super fast. hahah. Before his game, we were lounging around seeing other games, like the Fifa game, damn funny. The commentators( there were 2) who were talking non stop at every move and they were so noisy that my dear complained he don't know what they were saying cos they were too loud and fast. hahaha. So cool yeah? Got commentators too:) Anw, we also saw street fighter game in the WCG too?OMG it's totally like those arcade street fighter games and it was included in as a cyber game too? hahaha. Even the Fifa game was funny cos of the nature of the game. Somehow Fifa game does not equal to competitve world cyber games? LOL do u get me? Omg this is such a long entry but i haven't finished yet.

Ok, actually the prize for the champions is a free ticket( one way i think?) to Cologne, Germany to compete with other players in the WCG too. Woah cool man. Plus a $600 cash prize and a free 22 inch LCD screen. Super cool. KC eventually did win his opponent to be the champion for the AOE WCG. In a matter of say 15mins, he won his opponent to go to germany. Oh mine, i haven't even gone to germany before lah! hahaha. I'm jealous. So, during the AOE game, there were 2 cameramen, one shooting KC and the other shooting his opponent. But sth very funny happened! There will always be 2 comentators for any one game. So during the AOE game, there was only 1 commentator standing beside KC cos the other commentator, apparently, according to KC, didn't know what the game was about, and so was unable to comment about the game. So the remaining commentator was standing at KC's place ALL THE TIME during the game, giving his opinions from his side. And the funny part was he was totally biased, towards KC. He kept heaping praises in favour of KC, and not of his opponent. Even if his opponeny made good moves, it was hardly reported by the commentator.HAHA. Anw, after his game, we were slacking around eating lunch before KC had to go back to the convention hall for the prize presentation and collect his LCD screen. Woah. We were eating for like 2 hrs? and then we went to the Fountain of Wealth, which was coincidentally opened for visitors. So, me, dear and Candy went to the fountain and put our right hand into the water and walked round the fountain 3 times. hahah. And i made a wish for dear to win the lottery for tonight. fwahhhh. Then dear told me he made a wish for me to do well in my studies. Sweet or not? haha we made wishes for each other:D

Anw, we were slacking around wasting time cos they were delaying things so long, i became so sleepy. And so, it became around 9pm by the time everything was done. And we arrived at suntec in the afternoon at 1230pm? haha so we were in suntec the whole day! LOL. Sadly, dear didn't win the lottery. I wanted him to gve me half of the money if he won. I heart pain for the money he lost wor, he betted $50 =.= wah lao eh, how many green tea frapp i could have bought with $50. Anw dear, dun be sad, cos i'm alry sad for u! Next time u give me your money so i can keep it for u! hmph. Finally, i finished my long long entry leh:))))
